Fried Chicken Board
Have you ever gotten home and realized you just didn’t feel like cooking a full meal? That is exactly when a great snack supper comes in. You know I love a great board, from a burger board to a peanut butter board, so it is no surprise that I am loving this fried chicken board.
Not only is it fun, but it is also customizable and something the entire family will love. In particular, it follows the same easy formula as my fall charcuterie board and my French fry board: a star in the middle, a few great sides and dips for everything.
With this in mind, I use store-bought chicken tenders in two flavors, frozen fries and tots, buttery Texas toast and creamy Heluva Good! dips, so the whole board comes together in about 45 minutes. Set it out with my favorite tailgating dip for game day, or make it the centerpiece of one of my elevated game nights.
What Is a Fried Chicken Board
A fried chicken board is a snack-supper spread built around crispy fried chicken, surrounded by comfort-food sides, crunchy vegetables and dips. Think of it as a charcuterie board for fried chicken lovers.
In essence, there is no wrong way to build it. Mix shapes, colors and flavors, and arrange it however looks most appetizing to you.
Fried Chicken Board Ingredients (With Purpose & Flavor Notes)
Buffalo Chicken Tenders
A little heat and a pop of color. Use spicy or mild, whatever your crowd loves.
Plain Fried Chicken Tenders
The classic, and the favorite with kids. Wings, thighs or nuggets work too.
French Fries, Sweet Potato Fries and Tater Tots
The comfort on the board. Three shapes and colors add dimension.
Texas Toast
Buttery, garlicky toast makes it feel like a full supper.
Potato Chips
Extra crunch, and perfect for the dips.
Carrots and Celery
Fresh, crisp garnish that balances all the fried goodness.
Heluva Good! Dips
I love Jalapeño Cheddar and French Onion here. Ranch, BBQ or hot sauce are great too.

Final Thoughts
I cannot wait for you to try this fried chicken board. All things considered, it is proof that a fun, satisfying dinner doesn’t have to mean hours in the kitchen. For another seafood-forward spread on a fancier night, my smoked salmon charcuterie board is always a hit. If you make this board, tag me on Instagram or let me know in the comments!
