Afternoon Tea At The Ginger Room Alpharetta, GA

Hi, friends!
We all know that coffee has my heart, but I truly do love afternoon tea.  Not only do I enjoy getting dressed up for no reason, but I also adore the timeless tradition of lite bites, tea, and gathering with my girlfriends. The “Afternoon Tea” tradition became popular in the year 1840.

The Duchess would become hungry around 4 o’clock in the afternoon because dinner was not served until 8 p.m.  So there was a gap between lunch and dinner.  She would request tea, cake, and bread and butter, and soon, this became a regular habit.  Not long after, friends began to join for afternoon tea.  Throughout 1880, the socialites would dress for afternoon tea wearing the finest dresses, gloves, and hats.  It then became a social gathering and a must-attend social event.

Alpharetta now has its piece of England at The Ginger Room.  And I recently had the chance to experience afternoon tea at this classy establishment with my friend, Titi.  It was absolutely fabulous!
The Ginger Room is an extension of the Ginger Yum brand.  (Ginger Yums are delicious, all-natural juices that you must experience.)

The scene is set from the moment you walk in, and the beautiful tea decor will give you a variety of feels.  They have options of various quiches, scones, and lite bites, and everything is made fresh, in-house.  If it’s not fresh or made in-house, it is locally sourced.

There are also over 30 options of tea, but I highly recommend the jasmine nectar.  The ginger tea blends are served in beautiful antique teacups.  And with your tea service, you will receive a three-tiered stand of finger sandwiches, fresh scones with house-made clotted crème, and petit fours.

Located in downtown Alpharetta, in the historic Skelton-Teasley House, The Ginger Room is beautiful from the moment you walk in.  You are going to love the vintage feels, the stunning chandelier, and stellar customer service.  The Skelton-Teasley House is the oldest home in Alpharetta and is located at the city’s highest point.  The home was initially built for physician and Milton County postmaster, Dr. Oliver P. Skelton, in 1856.

The Ginger Room offers a delightful private dining room for all of your private dining needs.  There’s also an outside area that is perfect for bridal showers, birthday brunches, and social gatherings.
I highly recommend visiting for afternoon tea or stop by just to enjoy a slice of quiche.  You will have a darling experience, Darling.
