When I think about childhood, certain things come to mind. Feelings and places greatly shaped my memories from childhood into adulthood. My family and I made great memories on road trips, and there were certain destinations I always looked forward to visiting. Now, as a second-time mom, I want to instill similar wonderful memories in my family. One of these destinations is Barnsley Resort. Keep reading to see my top five reason to visit Barnsley Resort anytime of the year- especially this holiday season!

We visit Barnsley Resort at least four times a year. We love it for many reasons. It’s an easy road trip, and let’s be honest -distance is crucial when traveling with a one-year-old. The drive from Atlanta to Adairsville is just about 45 minutes to an hour, ideal for our little one. We visit Barnsley Resort for holidays, birthdays, and when we need a relaxing weekend. Trust me it is that good and here is why!

// Activities // The resort offers a full-service luxury spa, shooting clays, and horseback riding, ensuring an awesome getaway for the entire family. With activities like golf on a Jim Fazio-designed course, hiking, horseback riding, bird hunting, fishing, and clay shooting, there’s plenty to keep guests active. The “Barnsley Farm” experience lets guests meet horses, miniature donkeys, and other farm animals. The full-service spa provides a range of treatments for relaxation and rejuvenation.

// Food Options // Woodlands Grill and Rice House. Woodlands Grill has recently revamped its menu to rave reviews. Rice House is perfect for date nights, as children are not allowed, but the food and ambiance are so good that you’ll want to enjoy it without the kids. You can also enjoy casual fare, fine dining, or private in-room dining.

// Rooms // The rooms are cozy, and Barnsley Resort has several lodging options. From spacious rooms at the inn and suites to charming cottages, the resort is set amidst picturesque landscapes with breathtaking views of gardens, woodlands, and historic ruins, providing a serene environment.

// Customer Service // The resort is known for its exceptional customer service, with attentive staff and a variety of services designed to make guests’ stays comfortable and enjoyable. It’s an ideal venue for weddings, corporate retreats, and other events.
