Divan Restaurant & Bar

For as long as I can remember, Divan Restaurant and Hookah Bar has been one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta to dine.  Located in the heart of Buckhead, Divan has been Atlanta’s premiere restaurant for authentic Persian cuisine for 11 years.  You will love the restaurant’s romantic, intimate, cozy, and chic atmosphere.

What I like most about Divan is the service.  It’s always superb!  Make sure you ask for Nikki Arman or Andre.  They will take good care of you.  The food is excellent and extremely high quality, and you will love their delectable cocktails.  I love the various hookah flavors on the menu, and you will love them also.  I have so many fond memories of this restaurant: girls’ night out, celebrating New Year’s Eve, and romantic dates with my fiance.

Menu must-try’s:

Spicy shrimp:  This appetizer brings the spice.  You are served four large shrimp, and the shrimp is tossed in a tandoori spice rub and served with a chilled cucumber yogurt.

Duck leg confit:  I love duck!  So it’s no surprise that I loved this appetizer.  I love it so much that I typically order two.  This duck is served with a minty herb salad with a side of sweet black currants relish, topped with sage oil.

Blackened Verlasso salmon:  The salmon is fresh and a great size, not to mention that it was seasoned to perfection.  I opted for rice, which was delish. This dish is typically served with linguine Alfredo and topped with oyster mushrooms and diced tomatoes.

Spice roasted double-cut lamb rib chops:   These lamb chops aren’t for the faint of heart.  You have two options for portion sizes: 16 or 24 ounces.  The chops are seasoned to perfection and served medium.  They are served with spiced potatoes, garlic spinach, sumac gastrique, topped with mint oil.

Persian doughnuts:  I never have a sweet tooth, but I am obsessed with these fluffy donuts.  They have the perfect hint of sweet that isn’t overbearing, and they are topped with powdered sugar.  The doughnuts are served with three sauces for dipping: orange honey, sour cherry anglaise, and coffee chocolate sauce.

*  Fun fact:  Divan offers a special Sunday through Thursday.  You’ll enjoy a three-course dinner special for $25 per person between 5 p.m.-7 p.m.   No matter what you order on the food, drink, or hookah menu, you are sure to be impressed.
