My favorite way to start a meal is trying out a restaurant’s caesar salad. Kaleidoscope’s caesar is fresh and crisp. The dressing is tangy and creamy with fresh, crunchy croutons and shredded asiago cheese. The house pimento cheese was delicious. Think crostini, house pimento cheese that was thick and with a spicy kick to it, and sliced granny smith apples on top which gave you a spicy and sweet balance.

The chicken wings were covered in Kaleidoscope’s housemade wing sauce which was spicy with a touch of honey. The wings were sprinkled with blue cheese and we asked for ranch for dipping. The wings were deep fried to perfection and perfect for a Friday night bite.

The star of the course was the pizza which I decided to “build myself”. I order red sauce, buffalo mozzarella cheese, and sliced tomatoes, truffled mushrooms,red onions, and arugula. This combination made for a great flavor between the crunch of the onions and the earthy flavor of the truffled mushrooms.
