If you’re a food and wine enthusiast like myself, the idea of supper clubs might not be foreign to you. Yet, each month, I am reminded of how incredibly special and transformative these events can be. This month, my supper club journey took a delightful twist, introducing me to the unmatched combination of Jlohr Wines and the culinary masterpieces of Luci’s Steakhouse.

For those unfamiliar, the Jlohr Wine Brand is a testament to fine winemaking. Every sip tells a story of commitment, love, and the profound understanding of vineyards. Their wines are sophisticated, full of character, and have been an impeccable companion to the dishes served at our supper club.

The perfect pairings elevate each dish, creating a harmonious dance of flavors on the palate. Eating With Erica Supper Club presents an excellent opportunity for food enthusiasts to gather and share their passion, but they also significantly support local restaurants and chefs, especially during these challenging times.

Through Eating With Erica monthly supper club many attendees get introduced to a whole new dining experience, forging connections with restaurateurs and fellow diners. Hosting the second supper club of 2023, I eagerly anticipated a night of amazing food, wonderful wine, and enriching conversations. I wasn’t disappointed. If you’re from Atlanta or its vicinity and haven’t dined at Luci’s Steakhouse, you’re missing out.

Nestled in Alpharetta, GA, Luci’s is a culinary haven where top-tier service meets delectable dishes. The restaurant ambiance strikes the right chord – upscale but not intimidating. Owners Polo Castro & Gigi Castro, with their rich 15-year experience at some of Atlanta’s prime restaurants, have created a menu that seamlessly blends the flavors of the land and sea.

A Glimpse of the Evening’s Menu Our four-course menu for the night was:

  • Oysters Rockefeller & Thick Cut Bacon – Paired with the crisp 2021 Monterey County, Sauvignon Blanc.
  • Burrata Salad – Complemented perfectly by the 2021 Arroyo Vista Chardonnay.
  • Steak & Frites – A delightful pairing with the 2021 Arroyo Seco, Monterey, Fog’s Reach, Pinot Noir.
  • Scallops Risotto – Matched exquisitely with the 2021 Paso Robles, Hilltop, Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • Tisumiur Paired divinely with the 2021 Arroyo Seco, Monterey, Late Harvest White Riesling.

Each course was a revelation, showcasing the best of both Luci’s culinary prowess and Jlohr’s vinicultural excellence. As I wrap up reminiscing about the evening, I can’t help but look forward to the next supper club event. Here’s to many more nights of delightful dishes, sublime wines, and memories made with cherished company.
