Recipe: Banana Toast
When the new year arrives, it always feels like a breath of fresh air. Typically, I am not one for new resolutions each year. I don’t feel as if you need a new year to change toxic behaviors. However, I am a huge advocate for creating life changes, no matter what time of year it is.
2019 is a big year for me because I am getting married, I recently signed a TV production deal, and, overall, I want to always look and feel my best this year. You know the saying, “If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.” Well, I decided that this year was going to be the year that I get back in shape and stay in shape, eat better, and make sure to eat breakfast each morning. I kicked off my year with two things that were tough for me: going to the gym and eating breakfast every day, no matter what my morning looks like.
Breakfast can be tricky. No one wants to eat the same thing every morning, yet, you want breakfast to be tasty. While visiting Costco, I recently discovered Angelic Bakehouse Sprouted 7-Grain Bread. Angelic Bakehouse contains no soy, no sesame, no high fructose corn syrup, no refined sugar, no GMOs, no eggs, no nuts, and no dairy. Their products are sustainably sourced, 100% vegan, sprouted, and kosher.
What I like most about their sprouted 7-grain bread is that you don’t have to sacrifice taste to enjoy a healthy meal. So with that being said, I decided that this particular breakfast toast would be for me. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing a few of my favorite breakfast toasts that you can create at home, no matter how pressed you are for time in the morning. Today I am sharing my recipe for banana toast.
