The Original Hot Dog Factory

There is nothing I love more than a good ole cheat day.  The Original Hot Dog Factory is the perfect place to indulge.  Located in Smyrna, The Original Hot Dog Factory has all-things hot dogs completely figured out.  This unique eatery offers over 15 variations of hot dogs.  These Factory hot dogs are served steamed, grilled, or fried.  You have plenty of options of delicious hot dogs from the Detroit Coney, which is a beef hot dog topped with FACTORY chili, shredded cheese, and chopped onions.  Or if you desire something more unique, try a Taco Dog, which is a beef hot dog topped with FACTORY chili, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole, jalapeños, and tortilla chips.  I loved all the hot dogs I tried.  The buns are super soft, and the beef and toppings were fresh.  The toppings on top of the hot dog were layered to perfection.

If you want more flavor, they have juicy and flavorful polish sausages such as the Street Polish Dog, which is a polish sausage on a poppy seed bun, topped with grilled onions, mustard, and sport peppers.  There’s also the Italian Dog, which is a deep fried Italian sausage topped with grilled bell peppers and onions.

If you aren’t interested in hot dogs, no worries!  You have the option of juicy cheeseburgers and fried chicken wings.  All items are made fresh every day.  The French fries are made from scratch and hand cut each day.  When you visit, make sure you save room for dessert.  You are going to love the Deep Fried Oreo, Funnel Cake Sticks, and Deep Fried Twinkies.  I was nervous when I tried the fried Oreo and Twinkies because it was my first time trying them.  I had no idea what to expect.  Let me tell you!  It was pure perfection.  I am not ashamed to say that I indulged in three!  Being that they were deep fried, they were still soft.  They had the nerve to top these delectable delights with powdered sugar.  It really made for a tasty dessert.  When you visit, you won’t be disappointed!  If you haven’t caught on by now, this isn’t your regular hot dog joint.  The Original Hot Dog Factory is also available for catering!
