Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 children in this country struggle with hunger, including more than 650,000 kids in Georgia?  Well, No Kid Hungry is ending childhood hunger today by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and that families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget.

No Kid Hungry and its amazing partners have connected kids struggling with hunger by providing more than 500 million meals.  I cannot wait to attend Atlanta’s most anticipated culinary event of the year, Atlanta’s Taste of the Nation® for No Kid Hungry.  This event is for a great cause with 100 percent of proceeds supporting the No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America.

Taste of the Nation is the premiere culinary benefit with Atlanta’s most celebrated chefs and mixologists.

This year over 1,400 guests are expected to attend. Attendees will have the oppounity to participate. Grand Tasting, sampling signature fare and spirits from over 50 of the city’s premiere restaurants to enjoy a live silent auction and a beverage auction, while enjoying wine tastings and live entertainment.

Leading the 2017 event is honorary chef, Cat Cora, TV personality and restaurateur.  Share Our Strength has selected Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, entertainer, restaurateur, and partner of Chicken+Beer, to be this year’s honorary chair at Atlanta’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry.

This event will take place on Thursday, April 20th at Southern Exchange at 200 Peachtree Street, NW.  I hope to see you there!  To purchase your tickets and for any additional information, please visit AtlantaTaste.org
