Thirteen Pies Atlanta

I adore this quote—especially the old wine part. Last night, I hosted a media dinner at Thirteen Pies located in Buckhead. What I love most about hosting media dinners is the amazing energy; it’s contagious. Genuine and talented media, fantastic food at a great restaurant—what more can you ask for? I have been to several media dinners lately, but this is one of my favorites. This media dinner showcased Thirteen Pies. Have you dined at Thirteen Pies? It was my first time dining there, but definitely not my last. Make sure you show Thirteen Pies some birthday love in October because they turn One that month. Thirteen Pies is an artisanal and authentic pizza destination. I love the restaurant because of the ambiance,which is really ideal for date night or group outings—and it’s really a slice of something out of the ordinary. It is the sister restaurant of American Beverage. I would say that Thirteen Pies offers all the components of a classic pizzeria with upscale fare. The menu offers various tantalizing appetizers such as the renowned baked goat cheese, chef-driven salads, house-made pastas, thirteen different pies ranging in flavors and fresh toppings, and last but not least, seasonal desserts.  They are DELISH! I enjoyed eating every single calorie! While dining I enjoyed:

BAKED GOAT CHEESE: Oven-dried tomato, kalamata olive, basil pesto & crostini.

CRISPY ARTICHOKE HEARTS: Romesco for dipping.

GREENS FANCY HOUSE: Stonecreek  farms field greens, beet, old manchego, mar cons almond & mustard vinaigrette 

CHOPPED: romaine hearts, fennel salami, smoked provolone, castelvetrano olive, pickled pepper, cherry tomato, cucumber, parmesan & herb vinaigrette.

BUCKWHEAT TAGLIATELLE: Wild mushrooms, shallot & thyme.

 

PIES

BURRATA MOZZARELLA: Oven-dried tomato & basil pesto.

 

THE IBERIAN: fennel salami, smoked provolone, soffritto, castelvetrano olive, yellow tomato & old manchego​.

DESSERT LEMON MASCARPONE SEMIFREDDO: Blueberry, lemon curd & semolina pistachio crumble.

 ZEPPOLE: Seasonal jam & honey for dipping.

The famed “thirteenth pie” rotates monthly, and the description can be found on the “features board,” which also displays a selection of special (and delicious) small plates available throughout the week. Every Monday evening, Thirteen Pies hosts an “industry night,” offering half-priced food for all restaurant industry employees, as well. Thirteen pies is currently promoting a 20% off lunch special with presentation of a flyer distributed by Buckhead Atlanta to surrounding businesses. American Food and Beverage is offering the promotion, as well. Thirteen Pies and American Food and Beverage will also be participating in Taste of Buckhead and Taste of Atlanta, so everyone can look forward to finding them at those events! Make sure you visit Thirteen Pies for your next perfect date night or girls’ night out. I love wearing dresses! Especially little black dresses. For this dinner party my dress was compliments of Bella B Designs based in LA. Bella B Designs is a company that specializes in unique women’s apparel. They only create 6 of each dress. Talk about exclusive! What I loved most about this dress was the fit of the dress and the material. I loved feeling like a trendy gladiator. Not to mention the dapper neck candy, which made this look complete. Sleek and simple is just how I like it. Stay tuned I will have more looks from Bella B Designs.
