Atlantic Seafood Company
This evening I had a great time Atlantic Seafood Company. Everyone knows I don’t have any restrictions when it comes to how far I will drive for a great meal. And every now and again I find a OTP favorite. Atlantic Seafood Company is now a seafood OTP favorite. Atlantic Seafood Company is located in the heart of Alpharetta. I reside in Vinings, so it was less than 30min drive. If you are a seafood lover this is the place for you. Atlantic Seafood Company offers lunch Monday through Friday. They also offer dinner during the week and on the weekends. This month Atlantic Seafood Company launched their monthly wine tasting event (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/atlantic-seafood-co-august-wine-tasting-tickets-17833656948) and in August they are launching their Patio Beer and Oyster Party. I am looking forward to that event for sure.
When I stopped in for dinner I didn’t have to worry about parking because there was complimentary valet. When you first walk in you notice the large fish tank with a variety of colorful fish in the tank catches your attention. As you walk pass the kitchen you notice the fresh seafood fridge display. his display you see the king crab legs, fresh fish and other menu items. The seating in the restaurant is a great setup. There are plenty of booths and enough tables for large parties of both worlds. The menu is overwhelming. I wanted everything. I looked the menu prior to arriving and I still hadn’t made a decision which is very usual for me! The menu has tons of delectable options such as Nick’s famous char-grilled oysters, hot crab dip, African prawns, Soy-Honey glazed and Chilean seabass. The menu has a range of seafood, steaks and sushi.
When I dined I tried a little everything. I decided to try some signature cocktails instead of wine and I was not disappointed. The bar has plenty of options and the cocktails are divine.
My favorites were the following:
Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Entree:This crab cake is 95% lump crab meat. There is really no breading its very minimum. The entree came with two large crab cakes and it’s served with rich whipped potatoes fresh grilled asparagus and topped with creole mustard and roasted corn salsa. The creole mustard was a perfect touch. I really like remoulade sauce and this sauce reminded me of a spicier version. These crab cakes were extremely filling and a great portion.
Nick’s Famous Char-Grilled Oysters: These oysters were simply incredible. My boyfriend doesn’t like oysters at all. In fact several people who are not oyster fans find themselves saying I don’t like oysters but I love these oysters. They are truly a step above the rest. I however love oysters and I am now a huge fan of Nick’s famous oysters. You may ask what makes these oysters so special.Well first the oysters are char-grilled and they have a sauce of garlic, butter and herbs. They brushed it on a fresh batch of oysters then dusted them with a blend of Parmesan and Romano cheese and cooked them in their shell on a hot grill. Even if you aren’t a fan of oysters make sure to try Nick’s famous char-grilled oysters you wont be disappointed.
Kraken Shrimp: These medium sized shrimp were fried and then tossed in a perfectly blended sweet and spicy asian sauce. The shrimp served on a bed of lettuce. It was a great appetizer to start with.
Scallops and Shrimp This isn’t your ordinary scallop and shrimp combo. This combo comes with a ribeyehich was the cherry on top. And it was served with fried brussel sprouts mashed potatoes. It was best of both worlds a nice version of a surf and turf. You can’t go wrong with pan seared scallops, grilled shrimp and a juicy steak. This was my first time trying fried brussel sprouts. I was pleased hey were sweet with no bitterness.
Banana Pudding: I initially ordered the bread pudding because I do not like banana pudding. It just has never been a dessert favorite. Well on accident the server brought over banana pudding. Th banana pudding one of the most popular desserts on the menu. Everyone loves . I have to admit I have never been so thrilled about a dessert mixup. All the ingredients used are made from scratch. The banana pudding is layered to perfection with banana custard, fresh bananas, whip cream and wafers.
Must Try Cocktails:
Fishhouse Punch: This punch was a cocktail mixed with cognac, Georgia peach whiskey, Ron Zacapa Guatemalan rum, orange, lemon black tea syrup and burnt citrus! It was smooth and had a nice punch.
Peach Pomegranate Martini: You can never go wrong with a martini in my book. This was best of both worlds peach and pomegranate match made in heaven.
