Chicken and Waffles by Chef Blackman

On a random afternoon on Instagram, I noticed the account of Chef Alexander Blackman. I scrolled down, and as I was scrolling, I noticed that his second photo was a picture of a kryptonite of mine which is chicken and waffles. The chicken in the picture was fried to perfection, and the waffle wasn’t a typical buttermilk waffle. It was a violet velvet waffle.

A phone call and text later, Chef Alexander Blackman delivered this box of perfection. I was beyond anxious to try this tasty treat. My lunch was served with two pieces of fried chicken, and the chicken was exactly how it was in the photo. It was extremely delicious! My violet velvet waffle was so fluffy and easy on the eyes! Also, there was barbecue sauce and peach preserves jam. Paired with the waffle, it was a match made in heaven!
