WHAT IS MARTINI BOARD?

When it comes to martinis, a martini board is the perfect side companion that goes with the martini. Think of it as a charcuterie board that merges both a snack and the perfect garnishes for your perfect martini. You can keep it super simple and classic with the traditional olives, nuts, etc (the way I do) or you can go very colorful with things like blood oranges, berries and dried fruits. When it comes to creating this style of board- the options are endless; so have a little fun with it! Plus it pairs awesome with this board as well!

BUILDING THE PERECT BOARD

A few ingredients that I always make sure I have on the accompaniments board to go with my garnishes for the martinis are the following:

  • Assorted Cheese – I tend to go with a few varieties of cheeses. A few of my favorites are: Sharp Cheddar, a Creamy Brie, and a Tangy Gorgonzola
  • Cured Meats – I tend to go for the basics that go with a traditional charcuterie like Prosciutto, Salmi, Chorizo.
  • Marinated Olives– I love a good olive and I think marinated black olives and green olives just make the board
  • Marinated Pickles– a new favorite that I am LOVING to add to charcuterie boards
  • Mixed Nuts – a little bit of crunch is always a great favorite. I tend to love to add: Almonds, Cashews and Walnuts
  • Artisanal Crackers and Breadsticks- hands down a must always with a martini board
  • Dark Chocolate Squares – Absolutely LOVE adding dark chocolate squares to my martini board
  • Fresh Herbs – perfect for garnishing your board – throw on fresh sprigs of rosemary, basil or dill

PERFECT GARNISHMENTS FOR MARTINIS

When it comes to garnishments for martinis , there are no rules! For this martini board I like to keep it simple with traditional garnishments for delicious vodka martinis.

  • Navel oranges, halved and thinly sliced
  • Lemons, thinly sliced into wheels- to make twists easily
  • Limes, thinly sliced into wheels – to make twists easily
  • Green olives
