Recipe: Gluten-Free Avocado BLT
As you-all may know, based on my food blog and food Instagram, I do not have any food allergies. I am very fortune because that is not the case for a lot of people. This month I am supporting my gluten-free friends and highlighting Celiac Awareness Month.
Celiac disease is an immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. In lieu of bringing awareness to this serious disease, I am partnering with La Brea Bakery and sharing a tasty recipe. Founded in 1986, La Brea Bakery, in 2016, was non-GMO project-verified on nearly all of their breads.
I am such a fan of La Brea Bakery, I am giving you a chance to enter a stellar contest. In support of Celiac Awareness Month, artisan bread brand La Brea Bakery is hosting a sweepstakes throughout the month of May asking fans to share their La Brea Bakery gluten-free bread creations with their followers. Use La Brea Bakery’s Gluten Free White Sliced Sandwich bread or Gluten Free Multigrain Sliced Sandwich bread to create an “award-worthy” recipe. You can purchase Le Brea Bakery at your local grocery store at https://www.labreabakery.com/where-to-buy.

For this avocado BLT, I used the La Brea Bakery gluten-free multigrain artisan sliced sandwich bread. This multigrain gluten-free bread has a nutty crust and a soft interior with notes of texture and flavor from flax seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and millet.
Although this is a gluten-free bread, it was perfect for this sandwich. I don’t know about you, but I love a good sandwich. And I firmly believe that a BLT is such a classic. I am sharing my favorite BLT recipe today. Enjoy!
