Sip with the Best — Johnnie Walker — at Ray’s on the River Whisky Dinner April 12
You’ll swear bagpipers must be en route from Kilmarnock as you settle in at Ray’s on the River for an evening inspired by Scotland’s legendary Johnnie Walker whiskies. Rasmus Just, national master of whiskey at Diageo, will impart his high-proof wisdom to guests attending this Special Evening with Johnnie Walker at the Chattahoochee River-side restaurant on Thursday, April 12.
Enjoy Johnnie Walker spirits paired with a five-course menu dreamed up by Ray’s executive chef Scott Hemmerly. Beginning with a 6:30 p.m.reception, course through Scottish salmon lox with latkes, quail egg and capers; smoked venison jerky and smoked cold-water eel with yuzu glaze paired with Johnnie Walker Swing; mini smoked Highland Cheddar soufflé with crisped country ham and Johnnie Walker Double Black; pan-roasted duck breast with shaved Brussels sprouts, mustard double cream and vanilla-cranberry gastrique with Johnnie Walker 18 Year; coffee-crusted bison loin with walnut flan, blueberry compote and toffee-veal jus served with Johnnie Walker King George V; and an end note of apricot panna cotta with dark glaçage, cocoa nibs and orange candy glass paired with Johnnie Walker Blenders Batch Wine Cask.
