Dinner With Iron Steph
When you have a friend who is a chef and she invites you over for dinner, of course you rearrange everything on your weekly calendar to attend. All week long I was totally anticipating Chef Iron Steph cooking for me. I thought that the cherry on the top would be wine, so I headed over with a bottle. The text messages from her of purchasing ingredients and preparing everything had me giddy, and it was so worth the wait! She’s so hilariously funny, which means that we had tons of laughs and great conversation.
For dinner we enjoyed rosemary focaccia. This almost ruined my appetite because I couldn’t stop eating it. I’m a very simple girl, which means that I like my focaccia to be herb’y bread with an emphasis on salt and olive oil. And this focaccia was just that.
We also dined on braised short ribs. The ribs were absolutely delectable and so flavorful. They were unbelievably delicious. I could have eaten the entire pot. The ribs were served on top of homemade mashed potatoes and crunchy green beans. This dish was so amazing to my tastebuds!
This dinner was the perfect introduction to fall. I can’t wait for our next dinner-date night!
