Max’s Wine Dive With Pretty Southern
Yesterday, I decided to meet up with one of my favorite food bloggers, Lauren Patrick, editor of Pretty Southern. She suggested we meet at MAX’s Wine Dive in Midtown Atlanta. I was pretty excited to visit this restaurant because it had been on my bucket list for the last few weeks, and I had reservations for brunch this Saturday.
I couldn’t agree with this shirt more!
The menu looked very inviting especially their fried chicken and champagne concept. So needless to say, I was thrilled to enjoy a few bar bites and glasses of bubbly with my favorite Southern belle. We started off with the amazing MAX ‘n Cheese. This unique spin on macaroni and cheese has cavatappi pasta in a truffle cream sauce with provolone, Gruyère and Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was very rich and extremely flavorful.

Next on the menu was a dish that has been on my tastebuds bucket list for quite some time, and it was my first time trying it, and that dish is Pan Borracho.
Drunk Bread @ Max’s Wine Dive
Pan Borracho, which is also called “Drunk Bread,” is torn sourdough baguette baked in a white wine custard with prosciutto, thyme, Gruyère, provolone and Parmigiano-Reggiano. Needless to say, I am now obsessed. It’s a very heavy dish, but the rich, creamy cheeses and sourdough bread is the perfect blend.
Stuffed Peppers @ Max’s Wine Dive
Next, were the stuffed peppers. These red peppers are stuffed with pulled pork and cotija stuffed, topped with chipotle aioli and cilantro chimichurri. I’m not a fan of stuffed peppers, but I was very impressed with this dish. It had a hint of spice, and the pulled pork was perfectly tender!
