Emory Point Food Tour
I love Emory Point! I live in Brookhaven, so it is conveniently close to my house, which means that I visit the area quite frequently.
I was thrilled when I received an invitation for the ‘Emory Point Foodie Tour’. Emory Point offers several restaurants, shops, and parks within walking distance, and it’s a neighborhood location that’s conveniently close to everything in Atlanta.
Due to rain mixed with the terrible Atlanta traffic, I started my tour a little behind. When I arrived, the tour was headed to La Tagliatella. La Tagliatella is an Italian restaurant with delicious Italian cuisine. This restaurant offers brunch and several happy hour specials. And their mimosas and bellinis are $3.00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
The food was delish! I ordered the MoTagliatella tomato, mozzarella, fried eggplant, parmigiano-reggiano drizzled with honey and aceto balsamico; Torre di Pisa sautéed eggplant, zucchini, and tomatoes layered with buffalo mozzarella and black olive paté. Can you say amazing?
The next stop was ‘Which Wich Superior Sandwiches’. I have been a fan of ‘Which Wich’ for quite some time. So, needless to say, I was happy to see this restaurant on the tour. ‘Which Wich’ is a sandwich shop that offers 50 varieties of customizable sandwiches. They offer various choices of turkey, beef, ham, and seafood combinations with a choice of various fresh toppings.
It’s clear to see how this establishment could turn into your traditional sandwich shop. The owners, Jerry and Barbara, make sure that every sandwich is made with the best and freshest ingredients. And not to mention the customer service is grand.
We tried tasty turkey and cheese sandwiches, which seems to be a customer favorite, and mine as well. This sandwich was served with a tasty chicken tortilla soup.
Our next stop was Marlow’s Tavern. Marlow’s Tavern is one of my favorite places, and I simply love the Marlow’s Tavern at Emory Point. This restaurant is very spacious and has a private dining option. Marlow’s Tavern also has an awesome enclosed patio.
As an added bonus, every Wednesday night is Ladies’ Night. Marlow’s Tavern always has great drink specials and wonderful food. From the shrimp and grit cake to the mouthwatering watermelon margarita, Marlow’s was a hit. They also serve brunch, and their menu has tons of tasty brunch menu options.
For the first time, I tried a mouthwatering burger from BurgerFi. I had the brisket burger with vinegar fries and a Chicago-style and New York-style hot dog.
This place is virtually a one-stop shop. Their burgers are made hot off the grill — fresh never frozen. BurgerFi focuses on all-natural, free-range beef, which you can taste in each bite.
Their menu has tons of options. But my must-trys would be the
Breakfast All Day Burger, BurgerFi® Cheeseburger, Chicken Apple Dog, and a Tropical Freeze Concrete.
Last but not least, my sweet tooth was satisfied by Sweet Monkey Frozen Yogurt & Cupcakes. With frozen yogurt and cupcakes, you can’t go wrong. And with over 90 various toppings for yogurt and extremely unique cupcakes such as
Southern Pecan Pie, Banana Foster, and Bourbon Peach, this place is a homerun for sure.
This exciting foodie tour was hosted by the awesome foodie community of Emory Point. This event was one for the books. Fellow foodies were treated to an awesome afternoon of various tastings, souvenirs, and gift cards from the following awesome restaurants, and I want to say thank you for a great time to:
BurgerFi, Chow Mei Mei, Earth Fare, Fresh2Order, La Tagliatella, Marlow’s Tavern, Paradise, Biryani Pointe, Sweet Monkey Frozen Yogurt & Cupcakes, The General Muir, Tin Lizzy’s, and Which Wich® Superior Sandwiches.
Make sure to stop by Emory Point! You won’t be disappointed!
