- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup milk dairy or almond, oat or coconut milk
- 2 tbsp honey or to taste
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- whipped cream and fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)
Add to the blender. Pour the milk into the blender first, then add the frozen strawberries, honey and vanilla.
Blend. Blend on low, then on high, until completely smooth and creamy, about 45 seconds to 1 minute.
Adjust. Too thick? Add milk 1 to 2 tablespoons at a time. Too thin? Add a few more frozen strawberries. Taste and add more honey if needed.
Serve. Pour into glasses, garnish with whipped cream and a fresh strawberry if you like, and serve right away with a straw.
Why frozen strawberries: They make the smoothie thick and cold without ice, so the flavor stays concentrated.
Make it creamier: Add half a frozen banana or ¼ cup of Greek yogurt.
