Recipe: Classic Mint Julep
If you have been following me for a while, then you know that I love the Kentucky Derby. It’s something about getting dressed up, attending Derby parties, wearing my fascinator, and drinking classic mint juleps for the greatest two minutes in sports.

I love everything about the Kentucky Derby. And although it’s been postponed until September of this year, I am celebrating the Kentucky Derby at home, indoors with my classic mint julep.
Now, I am not one to reinvent the wheel. So when creating my recipe, I had help from my friends at Woodford Reserve. This recipe is simple and perfect for any Kentucky Derby party that you may host. Simple and sophisticated — just the way we like it at Eating with Erica!
Cheers, friends!
Recipe: Classic Mint Julep
2 ounces Woodford Reserve bourbon
1/2 ounce simple syrup
(3) fresh mint leaves
Crushed ice
Directions
Take mint leaves, and rub them inside the glass.
To that same glass, add simple syrup, bourbon, and crushed ice.
Stir. Garnish with more ice and fresh mint. Enjoy!
