Atlanta’s favorite meal is unarguably brunch – bottomless mimosas anyone? Unfortunately brunching every day isn’t socially acceptable, but not to worry – Atlanta has plenty of great lunch spots to get you through the work week and into the weekend. From Midtown to Druid Hills, here are our 10 favorites!

Corso Coffee

3065 Peachtree Rd NE #210,

Atlanta, GA 30305

Located in the upscale Shops at Buckhead, Corso is a sleek, Italian-inspired coffee shop with a menu of savory soups, salads, and sandwiches. It’s the perfect spot to meet friends for a leisurely lunch, especially if you snag a spot on their luxe patio. Corso also offers weekend lunch specials if you’re looking for something a bit sweeter (we love their Saturday berry pancakes!)

Joy Cafe

1100 Peachtree St NE #110

Atlanta, GA 30309

Formerly located in Buckhead, Joy Cafe is now nestled in the heart of Midtown. This bright, airy spot is serving up fun twists on breakfast and lunch favorites. One of their most popular items – the breakfast burrito – is stuffed with cheddar scrambled eggs, house made chorizo, avocado, and pico de Gallo. Don’t miss out on their home-made poptarts, as well as their shrimp & grits, which were featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives!

Tupelo Honey Cafe

4600 Roswell Rd #110

Sandy Springs, GA 30342

The Atlanta outpost of Asheville-based chain Tupelo Honey has been open for just over a year, and they’ve recently revamped their brunch and lunch menu with creative new Southern dishes. A few of their lunch standouts – the slow-roasted pork grilled cheese, smoked salmon grit cake, and a group of four colorful dips served in mini mason jars. If you’re looking for some insta-worthy photo ops, head toward the back of the restaurant – they have a wall of old-school Southern plates and dishware perfect for pics!

The General Muir

1540 Avenue Pl B-230

Atlanta, GA 30329

If you’re hanging out around Emory or the CDC around lunchtime, The General Muir needs to be at the top of your list. Known for their New York-style bagels, make sure to try one of their platters, with your choice of bagel & schmear plus smoked and cured fishes. Their burger stack is also extremely popular, piled high with American cheese, shaved onion, and bread & butter pickles. The General Muir has a great selection of coffees and teas in addition to a massive adult beverage list – their morning cocktail menu is one of the best in Atlanta!

With locations from Old Fourth Ward to Decatur, Highland Bakery is accessible no matter where you are in Atlanta for lunch. Their menu has something for everyone, from ultra-healthy granola and oatmeal boals to their larger-than-life entrees. If you’re extra hungry, look no further than the Rustic Italian – it’s a giant plate of grilled rosemary garlic bread topped with melted cheese, veggies, over-medium eggs, and marinara sauce.

Hampton + Hudson

299 North Highland Avenue Northeast

Atlanta, GA 30307

Tucked into a cozy corner of Inman Park, Hampton + Hudson checks almost every spot on our lunch list. Sunny, dog-friendly patio? Check. A diverse menu of Southern-inspired favorites? Check. Affordable prices? Triple check! Hampton + Hudson has a neighborhood feel with a hint of sophistication. The menu is approachable but elevated – try their hangover fries, topped with a savory white bean chili and pickled mustard seeds. We also can’t get enough of their hot chicken with beer pickles and sorghum oil on a brioche bun! Hampton + Hudson is super active in the community, always hosting local events – make sure to follow them on social for the latest!

Miller Union

999 Brady Ave NW

Atlanta, GA 30318

With a chef that just won a James Beard Award (Steven Satterfield for best chef in the Southeast), Miller Union is one of the hottest tickets in town. While the restaurant is delicious for any meal, we highly recommend lunch, as that’s the only time you can get their famous ice cream sandwiches. Made in-house with a rotating menu of flavors, they’ll sweeten up any work-week lunch! Note that lunch is only served Tuesday-Saturday, with Sundays & Mondays off.

The Nook

1144 Piedmont Ave NE

Atlanta, GA 30309

An Atlanta staple, The Nook has been slinging their world-famous totchos (tater tot nachos) since 2009. They were voted as having the best patio in Atlanta, as well as the best burger in Atlanta multiple years running. The best part about The Nook is their budget-friendly menu – their selection of totchos, appetizers, and soups & salads is all $10 or less. Don’t hesitate to splurge on a few different totcho varieties (we love the buffalo chicken and Mac Daddy versions!) with such a wallet-friendly price.

Bar Margot

75 14th St NE

Atlanta, GA 30309

Just down the street from The Nook, Bar Margot offers a more upscale lunchtime vibe. Located at the Four Seasons, Bar Margot will get you feeling a bit fancy, with swanky decor and a cocktail-lounge feel. We’re absolutely obsessed with their burger – made with a house grind, it’s topped with American cheese, charred onions, pickles, and applewood smoked bacon. If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, go for the burrata, with spring radishes and rye bread for dipping. It’s the perfect light summer dish!
