Best Of Atlanta 2015-Atlanta Magazine
Last night was a night full of food, fun, and most importantly, giving. Atlanta Magazine’s Best of Atlanta 2015 party was one for the books. It was, literally, a foodie’s playground. This event was perfect for any foodie because there were tons of spirits, foods, and food products to sample.
Held at the Cobb Galleria Centre, over 2,000 foodies gathered for an incredible celebration of the city’s most recognized restaurants, food trucks, and bars. In total, 2,450 Georgia food lovers gathered at the Cobb Galleria Centre to sample the best of what Atlanta’s restaurant scene has to offer.
Attendees enjoyed live entertainment by local tribute band, Yacht Rock Schooner, who rocked the crowd with covers of 70s favorites like Fleetwood Mac, Earth Wind & Fire, The Bee Gees, and ABBA. Attendees also enjoyed a social media lounge which was genius. I am always tweeting and instagramming, so I was thrilled that there was an area where I could be comfortable and engage in social media.
“The Coop,” was an interactive special pavilion presented by Spring Mountain Farms, and it combined great tasting food with an intimate setting. The area hosted notable Atlanta chefs who created samples of their top dishes which were prepared with the family-owned company’s natural-raised chicken and paired with craft beers
A special seating area allowed attendees to visit with The Coop’s chefs and brewmasters as well as pick up chicken recipes and play games of ‘Cornhole’.
“The Coop was a casual environment that led to many relaxed conversations between the chefs and the guests, which I really value,” said Linda Harrell, executive chef at Cibo E Beve. “The craft beer pairings allowed us the ability to explain why certain flavors work well together which was a real bonus!”
“We could not be happier with the reception of our Best of Atlanta Party, now in its 28th year,” said Sean McGinnis, publisher of Atlanta Magazine. “In addition to putting on a great event and highlighting over 60 of the city’s most impressive dining establishments, we‘re thankful that we were able to raise funds and awareness for our wonderful philanthropic partner, The Giving Kitchen.”
Next year will be the 29th year of this awesome event, and it’s going to be even better. I can’t wait!
