Valentine’s Day 2015
Valentine’s Day 2015 was pretty amazing. I spent my special day with my special someone, and I was really excited because he and I celebrated our first Valentine’s Day as a couple!
I, of course, typically choose the restaurant in which we will dine. For this heart-filled day, I decided that we should dine at The Oceanaire Seafood Room in Midtown Atlanta. I simply love the customer service, ambiance, and, of course, their menu.
Since it was Valentine’s Day, every restaurant was offering a prix fixed menu. My boyfriend is a hearty eater, so I found out that The Oceanaire was offering a four-course menu which means that he and I were thrilled to indulge in our four-course prix fixed menu.
For our first course, we enjoyed baby kale and mixed greens. This salad was made up of baby kale, baby greens, parmesan cheese, pickled shallots, toasted pistachio, and roasted lemon vinaigrette. We also had Mediterranean tuna crudo (tuna tartare) served with wonton chips.
The second course was lobster and fennel ravioli, grilled corn chowder, and mascrapone cream lobster bisque. You’ll be happy to know that the lobster bisque is served with lump crabmeat. Our third course was seared Cape Hatteras Mahi Mahi, smoked gouda grits, roasted mushrooms duxelle sauce, and grilled brussel sprouts. Also, we had grilled Scottish stew, smoked Brunswich stew, pulled pork, roasted corn, okra, and tobacco onions. Last, but not least, was the fourth course. It was a luscious strawberry cheesecake with white chocolate raspberry créme brûleé.
Dinner, as you just read, was amazing! And, most importantly, my Valentine’s Day with my Babe was spectacular!
Make sure that you stop by The Oceanaire for any special event and for some amazing seafood!
