Smoked Salmon, Dill & Caviar Crostini

These simple but delicious elegant Smoked Salmon Crostinis are the perfect snack or appetizer for any gathering!

Ingredients
  

  • 12 slices of baguette about 1/2-inch thick
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 oz smoked salmon thinly sliced
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tsbp fresh dill finely chopped (plus extra sprigs for garnish)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 tbsp caviar  (use your preferred type)

Instructions
 

**Prepare the Crostini:** 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
  • Lightly brush one side of each slice with olive oil.
  • Toast in the oven until they're golden brown and crisp, about 10 minutes. Allow them to cool.

**Prepare the Cream Cheese Spread:**

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, finely chopped dill, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.

**Assemble the Crostini:** 

  • Spread a generous amount of the dill cream cheese mixture onto the toasted side of each crostini.
  • Place a piece of smoked salmon on top.
  • Add a small dollop of caviar in the center.
  • Garnish with a tiny sprig of dill.

** Serve and Enjoy **

  • Arrange the assembled crostini on a serving platter. 
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the contrast of the crispy crostini with the soft toppings.
