Strawberry Banana Santa Hats

There perfect festive sweet treat that the entire family will enjoy creating and eating!

Ingredients
  

  • 1-2 lbs Fresh Strawberries large ones are preferable
  • 2 Bananas thinly sliced
  • Whipped Cream or Vanilla Frosting
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Chocolate Chips or Sprinkles optional for decoration

Instructions
 

Prepare the Strawberries and Bananas:

  • Wash the strawberries and gently pat them dry.
  • Cut off the leafy top of each strawberry so they have a flat base to stand on.
  • Peel the bananas and cut them into thick slices, about 1/2 inch each.

Assemble The Hats:

  • If using whipped cream, shake the can well or whip your cream to stiff peaks if you're making it from scratch.
  • Place a dollop of whipped cream on each banana slice.
  • Carefully place a strawberry, pointed end up, on top of the cream or frosting on each banana slice, so it looks like the body of a hat.

Add The Details:

  • Place a mini marshmallow on the tip of each strawberry to complete the 'hat'.
  • For additional decoration, you can add a chocolate chip or sprinkle on top of the marshmallow or around the base of the cream/frosting.

Chill and Serve:

  • Place the Santa Hats in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set. This step is especially important if you're using whipped cream from a can.
  • Serve chilled as a fun and festive holiday treat!
