Why did you decided to use soy wax for your candles? Soy wax is ideal for many reasons. One of the top reasons we decided on soy candles is because it is environmentally friendly. They burn much cleaner than paraffin wax and produce 90% less soot too. By using soy wax we are also supporting valuable economic growth in the United States’ agricultural sector.

How do I make my soy candles last longer? Soy candles will last about 15-20% longer than a comparably sized paraffin candle. They will burn the longest when the wick is trimmed to ¼ – ⅛ inch before burning, and if the candle is allowed to burn until the wax pool (melted wax) reaches the edge of the container.

How do I prevent my candle from tunneling? Tunneling occurs when a candle burns improperly. To prevent this, allow the candle to burn long enough so that during each time the wax melts all the way across the candle. You should burn your candle for one hour per inch of container diameter when you first light it. For example, if the container is three inches in diameter, then the candle needs to burn three hours the first time. If that does not take place, it will cause an indentation in the wax. As time goes on, you will get a tunneling candle.

Why is there sometimes “frost” in/on my soy candle? Soy wax is natural, and it has its original traits. It can produce a white frosted look because of that. That is normal and does not indicate a problem with your candle.

Why does the soy form air bubbles? During the candle creation, small amounts of air may get trapped in the wax as the candle is poured. If so, when the candle is burned the air is released through the melted wax.

What is a wax pool? A wax pool is the area of melted wax that forms while burning a candle.
