This was my first year attending Grandiose Grape Wine Festival at The Mill Kitchen and Bar.  Located in Roswell, Georgia, this is the second year that this restaurant has hosted this particular wine festival, which also benefits charities!  This year the wine festival benefited The Cottage School of Roswell — a school that focuses on middle and high school students that have special needs — and The Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia.  (http:cottageschool.org) (http://epilepsyga.org)

The outdoor-event served delicious bites compliment of executive chef of The Mill Kitchen and Bar, Flynn McClanahan, live music, and 90-plus wines representing 30 wineries.
If you’re planning to attend next year, there are two options for purchasing your tickets: general admission or VIP.  I highly recommend taking the VIP route.  With a VIP ticket, you’ll receive early admission, reserved wine tasting featuring over 30 reserved wines, VIP food pairings, and a swag bag.  The swag bag was quite impressive!  In my bag was wine, certificates to McCray’s Tavern, The Mill, and Local Vine, and so much more.
There was an abundance of food, including some of my favorites: prime rib, shrimp cocktail, cheese, smoked wings, and pimento cheese fritters.  Everything was simply divine.
This festival gives you a chance to try new wines, and, perhaps, even find a new favorite.  My new favorites are:

Should you attend the 3rd Annual Grandiose Grape Wine Tasting in 2019, you’ll be doing three things:  relishing wine, eating great food, and supporting a great charity!  Visit their website for more information: http://themillkitchenandbar
