Livingston Restaurant + Bar Kentucky Derby Day
WHAT: When it comes to serving up good times, Livingston Restaurant + Bar at The Georgian Terrace Hotel doesn’t horse around, except on Kentucky Derby Day, when staff kicks up the dust to celebrate the two most famous minutes in sports. Since the date falls on Cinco de Mayo, the celebration is turning into a fiesta de caballo (horse) where mint julep meets margarita and all bets are off on which sip will reign supreme. Guests should be prepared to saddle up their appetites. The $25 ticket includes one complimentary drink and an assortment of sumptuous appetizers. Tickets may be purchased athere. All proceeds will be donated to the Sotherly Foundation, the non-profit arm of Sotherly Hotels dedicated to helping wounded American veterans. Race day features two special $12 drinks.
Mint Julep – Four Roses Bourbon, angostura bitters, house mint syrup, mint sprig garnish
El Guapo – Herradura Silver Tequila Cocchi Americano Aperitivo, grapefruit, cucumber, lime
Guests who want to top off the afternoon with some great prizes are invited to participate in the bar’s annual hat contest and raffle. DJ Suspense will be on hand to help guests get their giddyap on.
