Happy Hour In Atlanta,GA: American Cut

American Cut is one of my favorite steakhouses in Atlanta.  I have celebrated several special occasions at American Cut, and on the weekends, Regency Cocktail Club is my go-to hot spot.  I    was elated I was when I visited The Cut Bar new happy hour. Since my initial visit, I have celebrated my birthday, hosted a girls’ night out, and had date night with my Mister.  The Cut Bar’s happy hour features half-priced appetizers from the menu, alongside $1 chef’s choice oysters from 4 till 7 p.m.

As if happy hour wasn’t enough, American Cut is now open for lunch during the week. Their all-day menu is served at The Cut Bar daily from 11:30 a.m. till close.  We started with The Shorty.  This is a tri-level tower with plenty of chilled East and West Coast oysters, fresh ahi tuna, salmon, and lump crab meat.  We added the shrimp cocktail batch, which was served chilled and topped with horseradish.  This tower is one of those statement items that left many surrounding diners at their tables inquiring and asking — what is that?

We, then, ordered two salads: the Steak Knife Wedge & OG 1924 Hotel Caesar.  The Steak Knife Wedge, which was a very filling salad, was piled high with bacon and point reyes blue cheese.  But the OG 1924 Hotel Caesar is my favorite salad on the menu.  It’s so flavorful.  If you visit for dinner, the salad will be prepared tableside in the dining room.  The blend of parmigiano reggiano, soft egg, and Pullman croutons were spectacular.

Of course we had to try the lunch menu.  Everything was absolutely appetizing.  There are a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from too.  We started with Cut Burger.  Served on a warm brioche bun, this burger was topped with beer cheese and hot caramelized onions.  When I am craving a juicy burger, this is my go-to.

The Buttermilk Chicken is the star of the lunch menu.  This hot crispy fried chicken is flavorful with plenty of pimento cheese, bacon, and pickles.  The Smoked Salmon Club is fresh and layered with sriracha, lettuce, and roasted red peppers.

The handcrafted cocktails, beer, and sparkling, white and red wines by the glass are also available for sipping all day, as well as a daily specialty cocktail.
