Dolce is about socializing and indulging in the hospitable charm of the Italian dining culture,” says John Meadow, Founder of LDV Hospitality.  “Atlanta is a city built upon hospitality and amazing food, and we are thrilled to introduce a restaurant reflective of the city’s well-established dining scene.”

Last night, winner of Bravo’s “Best New Restaurant,” Dolce Italian, opened in The Shops of Buckhead, and I was thrilled!  I have been looking forward to this grand opening all summer.  This is the second concept to open under the LDV Hospitality umbrella.  The other is Corso, which opened last December, and it happens to be one of my favorite coffee shops.  American Cut is set to open in early 2016.

Dolce Italian is introducing La Dolce Vita to Atlanta, and Atlanta couldn’t be happier. It is such a gorgeous restaurant.  The interior will transport guests back in time to the elegance and ease of Fellini’s 1960s Rome.  The bright, energetic 150-seat dining room is surrounded by a collection of mid-century modern furniture and art, creating the ultimate communal and convivial dining culture that Buckhead Atlanta is known for.  An expansive
50-seat wrap-around outdoor terrace overlooks luxurious Buckhead Atlanta shops and is ideal for al fresco dining, perfect for enjoying the seasonally focused menu, or lingering over our signature Aperol Spritz.  Dolce offers picture-postcard views of Buckhead, handcrafted pastas, and a posh crowd.

During the grand opening, guests were treated to a variety of delectable
hors D’oeuvres.  Some of my favorites throughout the evening were seafood risotto, Neapolitan-style pizza, and the roasted pig.  Guests spent the evening exploring this new gem while indulging in champagne and unique handcrafted cocktails.  Dolce will begin dinner service tomorrow.  If you can’t dine for dinner, no worries.  They plan to serve lunch in the coming weeks.

Under the leadership of local managing partner, David Abes, and executive chef Paolo Dorigato, they have Dolce locations in Atlanta, Miami, and Chicago.  It truly is a culinary passion inspired by his upbringing in Trentino, Italy.  Dorigato joined LDV Hospitality in 2012 after stints at legendary Cipriani Wall Street and Michelin-starred Le Cirque.  Dorigato expresses Italian cuisine in its purest form with his simple, yet bold, authentic and seasonal menus.

I will be stopping by for a full dining experience this weekend.  Stay tuned for my review!
