NYE 2015 At Divan

Everyone loves New Year’s Eve!  It could be the dressing up, or spending the final evening of the last night of the year with friends and family, and, of course, the midnight kiss.  So it’s no wonder the hashtag #HappyNewYear has been used over 8.1 million times.  Of course my favorite part of New Year’s Eve is deciding where I’ll be having dinner.  Living in Atlanta, there are so many New Year’s Eve options.  From partying to eating, Atlanta has plenty of choices especially on New Year’s Eve.  After viewing several restaurants and noticing that many had amazing specials on this special night, I finally decided to book reservations at Divan.
I choose Divan because I love hookah!  The prixe menu had several tasty choices,  and the price was completely reasonable at $40.  And dinner was severed with champagne.

For dinner, guests had the choice of an appetizer, entree, and dessert.  I started with the blue crab bisque, which was amazing.  It had a tasty of a purée, but the mix of sweet cream blue crab meat and tabasco aioli made this bisque a hit. The second course was the tandoori salmon.  The salmon was seasoned to perfection, and it was served with grilled squash and rice.

I was stuffed, and, typically, I dot have a sweet tooth, but the Baklava cheesecake looked amazing!  And I am so happy that I tried the dish.  The cheesecake pistachio crumble and ginger cardamom whip was so good that I had my leftovers for breakfast.

Needless to say, the evening was full of laughter, fun, and great memories.  I will be posting a full dinner review of Divan later this month.  Happy 2015!
